Ok, should I get the graphics card or ram first?? and which of these cards do you think is the best:PNY Verto GeForce4 MX 4000 Graphics Card , VisionTek Xtasy RADEON 9250 Graphics Card , or BFG Asylum GeForce MX 4000 Graphics Card. Never bought a graphics card before. Thanks for your help.

Intel Pentium 4 w/ ht 2.8 processer, 512 ddr sdram, 1mb L2 cache, 800 mhz front side buss, Intel media graphics accelerator, windows XP, 160 gb hd and about $100 atm.

This will run circles around those you listed. I always buy video cards online because brick and mortar retailers mark up the prices a lot.

I have a 9600XT 256 and I get very little lag. However, when my system is even barely overlocked, I still get the memory could not be read error. I'm not sure if that's the same one you're getting or not, but be warned a new graphics card won't make it go away. This is a damn good card though and you should be able to find it for under 100. If not, then get a Geforce 6600GT for 50 bucks more. It's worth it.
