Today, after quitting to get the newest build, my GW won't go past the "Connecting to ArenaNet" phase.
This is odd, since I've played since the last BWE, and haven't encountered this yet.
I have checked, and my firewall doesn't block GW at all.
What could be causing this?
A possible netcode bug?

I'm hazarding a guess that maybe your FIrewall is causing the connection to not go through even if the Ports are there.

Which firewall are you running?

Also, try deleting all referances to Guild Wars in your Firewall and then let it redetect Guild Wars on startup unless you have to manually input the information.
I find Guild Wars on my machine after everyupdate seems to require re-affirm from Firewall to connect again.

It's the only thing I can think off which has affected other peoples machines. They have done what I said here and get reconnected most of the time.

You may have to do a full uninstall of the firewall software too if the above doesn;t work and see if you get connected that way if the above doesn;t work. If so, then just reinstall the Firewall afterwards.
