Exclamation Crackling Sound Problems

Whenever I see bushes or grass or trees in any game, I get a crackling sound from my speakers. Just wondering how to stop this sound. I think it's the video card but I'm not sure.
I use a GeForce 4 MX 440

Would you happen to have an onboard sound chip? Crackling is common if your CPU is trying to do too many things at once, and with onboard sound, the problem is significantly worse.

You might try lowering some of the graphics; it'll put a lesser strain on yours system.
