Default GW and ATI videocard

hey everyone, i have installed and play Guild Wars for a long time, and recently, i upgrade my videocard into a ATI Radeon x800 xt PE. The game look great and it runs well but i got a question, is the graphic for the background suppose to be faded in or out or pop in at different time. For example, there is a tower over the horizon and all the sudden the tower dissapear and come back again, is that normal?

Also the second question (this is for anyone with ATI videocard) is that should GW suppose to make the videocard run at 58-60 Cel, cuz that how hot the card is when im running GW. I thought that the background dissapear is because of the card is running a bit too hot, and i need to know your opinion before i go out and buy a new videocard fan.

Thank for you help!

I have an ATI X800pro. Mine runs at around the 52-58c mark depending on the weather and temperature in my room.

I don't have any problems.

What I would check, is that your airflow inside the PC isn't blocked by too many cables just sitting in the middle of the case. Try and tidy them up if you can and secure them to the sides or framework of the casing.

As for the Graphic popups, it could well be showing you more graphics in the distance that you didn't have the ability to show that far in the distance with your old card.
When you ran the driver install, did you fully remove your old drivers and driver software before taking out your old card.
Also, use the Driver Cleaner software to clean out any other driver files not related to your current card.

LOL, I haven't paid any attention to background graphics popping up...but don't recall this happening on my X800 XTPE. I know it happened a lot in Morrowind but depending on how you set one of the ingame graphic options. I do notice however sometimes monsters fade in.

Yes check on a wire or something getting in the way of your fan(s). Driver cleaners are a good thing to use as well. Sometimes as sad as this is...you need to reformat and reinstall everything just to have a nice clean registry. I have a ATI 9800pro 128 meg. So do not "see" all that you can see. However, I have had no real problems at all. I run the game on max resolution too.
