Default Game Crahes,freezes

hey,
the game keeps freezing afta 5 mins. i tryed everything updating window drivers, downloading direct 9.oc going on guildwars.com/support and now you guys are my last hope. ive read a couple of similar posts and i guess i should save sometime and post my system specs.

sadly this also happens to me

i think it's becuase we dont have the right video card.

but i can still play it like more then 5 hours before it crashes

so i dont care heh.

First, how much RAM do you have?
Second, did you upgrade the video card on your system? Also, what is the memory appature set at? If you haven't checked, you need to go into BIOS/DOS and check your MOBOS settings for your video card. While you are there check how much you have the RAM appature set to. If you MOBOS doesn't know you have 1Gb or 512Mb, then it won't run at what it should be running at and the same goes for you videocard; if it doesn't know how much you have in there, then it will go with the old setting, unfortunately.

I don't think it's the video card in his case. A 9700 is more than sufficient to run the game.

Have you installed service pack 2 for xp, If I remember correctly GW advises that sp2 is installed, try it, it could work..
