Every time i lately play GW, (usually in cruical moments or I have worked at a quest for hours and near the end) I get that wonderful arenanet lag. I will freeze and every creature in battle stands up straigh and all i can do is turn camera, then it continues and moves stupid fast to "catch up" i guess. then freezes again for minutes, then unfreezes "catching up" again. then plays fine. it is only in important moments when i get this, it is amazing, if this is a boss skill i want to cap it. "Word of Lag" i guess, dunno. What the hell could be the issue, it happens ANY time i play the game, it will play fine and it does not have to be intense moments. If i can DL updates from their servers as fast as it shows then what is the deal with the lag! No other game has lag like this. This must be addressed if they hope to get me to buy the expansion, but to many times have i beaten a mission really and never got to officially beat it since the lag (error=7)

I try to report a bug but then it kicks me out the game as if it does not want to hear a bug and turn a deaf ear to the customer

I like this game but this is putting a bad memory in my head for future purchases.

Does ANYONE have any ideas to help this? I am out of ideas.

it could be your isp as well.

i have over 300 hours played with a low middle pc and once in a while (maybe every few hours) i may see a little bit of *rubber banding* (i will hesitate maybe half a second and snap to a place a short distance away and continue as normal.

i have never been frozen in place looking around

I had the same problem as the OP when my ISP was doing maintenance on the network.
I very occasionally get the error 7 message and have lockups but it's not really bad, perhaps once in 3-5 days. Im in the UK so i consider that really good!!

Yes, check your ISP. Usually they have websites which notify you of maintenance schedules etc.

You could also have some nasties in your PC which are interferring with your connection quality. Make sure you update your anti-virus/spyware removers etc etc and give your PC a thorough clean.

Also check that there are no background programs using your bandwidth.

A good idea would be to use an internet connection speed test. This can help tell you if you are getting the bandwidth that you are paying for (i recently found out i wasn't!!).

i have a real-time anti-virus and I have 3 spyware detection programs, the microsoft one (which suprisingly works well!

a MS first ) GW ran great till the updates started comin, i never had issues. My system is clean so maybe Cox Communications likes to do maintanence hourly then.

I may not feel as ill toward ArenaNet if they actually made an announcement to a team that you were disconnected rather than Name has left the game. I dont want ppl thinking I leave them hanging.
