you must have a server, or know of one before you may connect.

Dangerous words Elessar, could turn the thread into a flame war(and everyone knows TS is the winner)

Buahahahahah!! TS blows and all the flaming in the world won't change that fact. I have a hard time understanding half of what's said on any given TS server, ventrilo is 10x clearer sounding.

It goes both ways, ive been on crappy ventrilo servers as well. It depends on if its being hosted on an actual server, or someones home PC.

Dammit, don't shoot down my flame bait with logic! >_< How are we supposed to get a good flame war going with intelligent people pointing out how stupid the argument is in the first place?!? (sorry I didn't lay the sarcasm on thick enough in my previous post).

i've had very little luck with TS..not to say it's bad...I just always seem to have the wrong codecs for it. The CS Server I own runs Vent...so we use vent. it's really as simple as that. VoIP is a pretty basic technology...I can't see one working better than the other.

Something I've had trouble figuring out with Vent and TS is what ports to open. I'm behind a Nat Firewall with UPNP turned off and need to find out which ports to forward. From what I've been reading TS almost uses random ports in a huge range.
