I've been getting this lag as well, and so has everyone I've partied with.

I will throw my lot into this as well and state that I have also been suffering thru the lag bug since the last patch. As have several guildmates. Actually, the rest of my guild is suffering too, as they have to stop and wait for me!

I am not on American servers. I, for one, hope that Anet can (and will) get to the root of the problem and help us out. Otherwise, I fear a large contingent of players will drop from playing.

Just did Fort Ranik and we had a lag nearly every 30 seconds! I am on EU server as well! Never had more than 1 lag a week before that update! Do PvP players have lags in their fights too? Maybe too many people using too many bone fiends?

Given that so many are complaining of lag - My guildies have also expressed that they find some zones very hard to play in, and I myself have experienced intermittent lag - it is highly unlikely that the issue is with individual computers. More likely it's some routing or server load problem that is rearing its ugly head.

Next time I experience it, I'll /bug it, and I suggest all others that are affected do as well.

The lag is really annoying, but hugely entertaining after a while. My bloke randomly started moonwalking around Lion's Arch yesterday while a guy was trying to trade with me - I had absolutely no control, couldn't send him messages or anything, but I don't think I've laughed so hard for ages.

However when he moonwalked into a large group of charr later on, it wasn't QUITE so hilarious at the time. But thinking about it, it is now

It can be amusing. When the game slows to a stop during a fight, both the monsters and henchmen eventually start doing their /bored animations, then, when the stall ends, they go into a frenzy making up for the lost time.
However, the amusement value sharply declines every time it happens.

Have we determined if any american players have experienced this new kind of lag/stall, or if they only get the good old "rubberbanding" type of lag, and stalling is restricted to EU servers?

Horrible lag here too (I'm on the european server). Less than an hour ago we barely managed to finish Defend the Wall -mission in Ascalon without everyone getting killed because of lag. Shortly after the mission I got killed when doing a simple enough quest. I'm not going to even bother trying the desert missions with my other characters until this gets fixed. Very annoying.

I have no wireless network that could mess things up, ADSL and system specs are fine too.

Yes, I am on American servers, as are most of my guildmates. Several of us are having this issue.

Another confirmation from me - I am playing on the Euro server and from time to time I experience extremly annoying lag spikes.

This is happening from a week or so and I bet it's not client-side, since the entire party is complaining. Also nothing has changed in my network configuration and the game was running smoothly before.

When I sent a report to the tech support department, they asked about my router, my connection, CPU speed, RAM, network, etc. etc. etc.

You would think that, if they're getting a ton of complaints about lag (and I'm sure they are judging by the number of posts on the GW sites across the 'Net), they would have a form reply saying something like, "We're looking into lag issues on AN servers. Thank you for your patience."
