Windows Installer problems
Anyone know what I should do when I get this message when trying to install the newest version of Vent?
I haven't tried anything yet, and I think that a repair install of Windows would work. But if there is anything faster, I would really like to know.

Try running windows update.
Windows Installer 3.1 should show up as a recommended update. If you need to install it, it should update the whole Windows Installer sub system.
Also may want to try downloading it again.
For manually installing it:
Windows 2k/Xp/2k3
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=893803
Windows 9x/Me (Installer 2.0)

After a few days for forgetting that I even had this problem, I tried both of those. Neither did anything. I still get my same error message as before.

I've tried that already. I'm thinking a quick repair install will do the job. I'll just start it up before I go to sleep or something.

That might work if it doesnt you might have to uninstall the installing program and reinstall it. Or you could go to its site and trouble shoot from there.

In case you didn't notice, the program is called "Windows Installer" (Couldn't they have come up with a better name? Like "Robot Awesome Destroyer?") by Microsoft. Everyone knows Microsoft has terrible customer service. Especially when you don't own legal copies of their merchandise...
And how would I install it again after having uninstalled my only way of installing anything?
