Yes, your laptop will work just fine. Hell, your laptop is more powerful than my DESKTOP and i run at max settings. I can't forsee any problems with that computer.

They only say that because they're jealous. My laptop handles it fine, and it's roughly half the specs of yours ('cept RAM, which is actually 1.25Gb for me).

Good god, literally take those specifications, divide them all by two (throw in a VERY outdated graphics card on top of it), and you have my computer.

And it runs Guild Wars just fine.

Not trying to put you down, after all, technical concerns are valid... but Guild Wars seems to be able to take quite a bit of punishment performance-wise.

Laptops are generally not as powerful as pc and lack the ability to upgrade so generally speaking there not used as gaming machines. That's why people have give you the genral no & game in reguards to laptops.

The game engine is very well designed and looks great. Now the laptop you have is designed for gaming (by virtue of the x600 on that sucker). As long as you meet minimum specs for games (and you will for some time) you are very good to go. I just get an usb mouse so you don't have to rely on the mousepad / etc.
