Yeah, I've seen this quite a bit over the last couple days myself, can't even resolve the IP address for the site, then I try back awhile later, it's working just fine O_o

I'm unable to send/access private messages on the site. Anyone else having the same problem? I'm posting in this thread not to hijack but because the problem may be related to the site's other recent technical difficulties.

I'm sure they are experiencing bandwidth issues. The sites popularity has grown immensely over the last couple of weeks. I'm sure the developers were not anticipating it.

and yes. I am having the same problem with PMs...I hope the 6 people that have tried to contact me don't think I am ignoring them.

Site down issues seem to be related at least partially to DNS name resolution. When I couldn't access the site yesterday afternoon, I did the usual try to ping for connectivity (wanted to make sure it wasn't my internet connection). Couldn't resolve the hostname. So I went to check on dnsreport.com, and sure enough none of the resgistered name servers would return results for the guildwarsguru.com domain. Seems something has to be wrong on the DNS servers / DNS records for that to be the result.

That makes sense.

This place has been getting a lot of traffic as well. Just look at all the people logged in! I think it's because mainly this place is a lot more user friendly than the other eliteist messageboards out there. God how I really hate the other boards. I think I'll be settling in here because I like this place much better.
