Angry Crash Troubles

Im having some crash problems (if you couldn't tell). Here's what happens...(take note i have no other programs running except aol) I log on with no troubles, i get to playing and about 10 mins in, messages stop coming, i stop moving, and viola, disconnect. I would appreciate any help that can be offered.

i know what you are going through... mine use to do it like 2-3 times a day, which is why i have started playing less guild wars lately, if it turns out to be your internet give them a call and ask them why they suck.. thats what i did and now my problem is solved (somewhat)

By saying you have AOL running I'm going to assume it's your isp (unless you mean AOL IM or AOL for Broadband). That is probably your problem right there. Although GW can be played on dial-up any gaming on dial-up is sketchy at best, because of things like lag and packet loss. From what I've read in the past GW doesn't handle Packet Loss well and you can get that with Dial-up, especially AOL. AOL is known for their ease of use but not their connection reliability.

Why it disconnects is probably from packet loss. So either get broadband, try a local dial-up provider, or put up with it.

Also if you are using a speed booster you might try disabling it. I have no idea if it would affect online gaming but it's worth a shot.

Heh, my issue is worse than yours. Instead of disconnecting, GW actually crashes. Shuts down. Commits suicide, etc, etc. And the worst thing is, I know HOW to fix it, but I can't AFFORD to fix it. Being without money really sucks ass >_<
