Help!! I cant even connect to GW!! When I try to connect it says, "Unable to connect! GW was unable to connect to ANet network. Please verify that your internet connection is working, or try again in a few minutes."

So I went to see if I was still connected to the network in the house and sure enough I was. I also checked to see if I could connect to the internet and obviously I can.

Are you going thru any hardware firewalls or routers? If so, have you rebooted all devices involved?

Just taking a stab at the dark...

i am using Syslink and ZA-Zone Alarm, but no I havent rebooted anything.

Try rebooting all devices first (CPU, router, cable/dsl modem, etc).

If that doesn't work, try turning off any software firewalls like ZA.

or check to make sure you have unlocked GW in zone alarm.

i think if i remember right, you have to check each time theres an update on one of the two versions of the GW listed in the ZA window.
i used to have to do that with Soma and NwN

if it just started from the last update, then that might be the prob.

When ever i try to install guild wars on my computer it says unable to connect to arenanet please verify that your internet connection is working or try again in a few minutes. im on dial-up so when i log onto aol then try to install it the loading bar goes all the way up on the screen that says connecting to arenanet...... and just stays there and wont do anything.and ive tried to let it load for like hours and it wont do anything. plz help me.
