Boss auras and other issues
I've been playing GW for something like 2 months now, and at no point have I ever been able to see the colored aura indicating a boss monster's class. Also, I logged into GW from another computer and saw that the silver in my cape is shiny, not matted like on my own computer. Someone suggested to me that my DirectX driver was not up to date. I downloaded the latest DirectX driver last night from DirectX's website, and I am still experiencing the same issues. Does this mean that my video card (GeForce 4, 440 Mx, 64 MB vRAM I think...) does not support the latest DirectX driver? Or is there some other hardware/software issue that is not allowing the display of boss auras/silver shiny-ness?

Yep, its because of the graphic card...
I have the same prob, but i dont care that much about the glow aroun the bosses, makes em look weird anyway.. |

The boss aura problem doesn't really concern me that much, I was just wondering what the cause was... not seeing silver as shiny is disappointing though. My cape looks so much better when I can see the shiny-ness...

Yeah, I play GW on my laptop while my girlfriend plays on the desktop right next to me. We're both in my guild (DMA) and when I look over at her screen, her cape's emblem is all shiny and mine's flat silver.

you should turn the video settings up if you can
if not.. get a new video card.. they're cheap for one a lot better than yours. |
