Default A few issues

What does it mean when you bring up the client and it gives you a loading screen saying "Repairing Data Archive"?

I've had this happen a few times in the past week and am unsure of what's going on.

I also have an issue with in game as well. When I have the inventory window up, the game locks up for a bit sometimes and the graphics in the window can either screw up, not show at all or make the preview character model look screwy and I have to close the inventory and open it up.

I'm not sure at all what's going on because I've never actually had any of this trouble before. However about two weeks ago my computer died and needed a fresh install, the GW data was still on the disk (seperate untouched partition) and it worked from there.

Perhaps there is something wrong with the data and needs repairing? Perhaps a hardware issue or something with the actual client?

You might want to try uninstalling and reinstalling GW (Don't worry you wont lose your characters) since you had to do a fresh install of your OS. Chances are there might be some registry entries missing.

The inventory thing has been happening to me lately too, and there's been nothing wrong with my OS. I figured it's something to do with the graphics card GeForce FX 5200)...seems to happen more when you're standing in the shade. It's not a big problem so I haven't tried messing around with the graphic settings.

Woah, that's the exact same card I have. Perhaps it is something to do with the hardware... *ponders* It doesn't explain why it worked fine until after the crash though...

Yah I know, done it yesterday and I'm not getting as much trouble as before, the problem is still there. I think it may be the combination of missing registry entries before and a hardware issue. Perhaps I should update the drivers on the card...

Beware though of updating your drivers if you don't have problems with other apps.

See sticky above in this section :- http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=25809

You might end up with even worse problems.
