Exclamation Another lockup thread...

Hey everybody

I have bought GW a few days ago because a friend kept insisting I did (didn't regret it).
It ran great on my computer, but sometimes it just locks up. The music plays on happily (to my annoyance) and you can move the cursor most of the time but that's it. CTRL-ALT-DEL doesn't work, only restarting fixes it.
These lockups come cempletely randomly, ie while wlaking, loading and even on the main screen or when you start the client, after loading the cursor appears and the music starts playing but I still see my desktop and the computer is locked up!
I have tried several things like getting new drivers, getting old drivers, lowering the settings, quitting all applications before playingand running a defrag. I even triedrunning hitman and checking for virusses.
Below you'll find the dxdiag results(system specs)
If you don't want to read them, this is a summary:

Intel pentium 4 3,2 Ghz
512 MB RAM
GeForce FX 5600XT (Exact specifications in the dxdiag) <-- I know it's old you-know-what
C-Media Wave Device
160 GB hard disk space (Don't think you'll need this, but...)
4 fans- 2 circulation, 1 on the processor and 1 on the GeForce.
My computer has never reached the 60° and it runs Half-Life 2 fine on best settings (on 1024*768 because my monitor is a 15" also you-know-what)

Regards
Apekooi

PS I have no Marvell Yukon integrated ethernet controller

this are my system specs from the dxdiag (I left some things away because of security and size reasons, but if it can help me, I will give you the complete file with pleasure):

what have you tried so far in trying to fix the problem?

That way people might not be suggesting to you thing's you've already done.
