Default Graphics Problem... Need help please =(

I'm not quite sure what the problem is... GW use to run smooth. Now the graphics are all messed up. It also effects my whole screen, not just when I run GW. There 4 bars that run across my screen, usually, though it doesn't seem to show in the screen shots. I'm running GW on the lowest settings possible.

My computer specs:

Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

Intel(R)
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.60Hz
2.59GHz, 256 MB of RAM

Dell 1800FP on 128MB DDR ATI Radeon 9800

While this is much more amusing than Dwarven Ale, the novelty wears off after a while.
Any hep or advice someone could give would be much appreciated.

I have a basic question. Have you checked all your cables? The connections and to see if any cables have a crack/broken wire in them? It looks like a bad connection of some sort. A hardware problem more then a software/driver problem.

Also it looks like a heat problem too. Like the card is fading out...end of it's life.

It doesn't look like a driver issue. I would pop out that card try another one...an old one, doesn't matter.

I had a similar problem with my 9800 shortly before it filled the room with an EVIL smelling smoke.

Make sure all your fans etc are running correctly, and that any ventilation slots are free of dust.

looks to me like the card is fried. open the case and check around the card for dust...if there is alot of dust around the card I'd say it's toast.(though I'd say the card is toast anyway)
