Default Graphics...7800GTX

Just a quick question,

The new nvidia 7800GTX; can i put this in an Asus A8V Motherboard? I'm not sure if this mobo can utilize PCI-Express...urgh, can i put the 7800GTX in a regular PCI slot, or and AGP slot?

I wish i would check these things before i buy them...

*sigh*

Off to buy a mobo with PCI-E Architecture...

seeing as how you need to buy a new motherboard now anyway.... would suggest a DFI LANParty board.

Well, the good thing is you have DDR400 and a socket 939 processor so if you stick with AMD all you will have to buy is a motherboard. Like Nailz said I'd check out the DFI boards.

You know, all my latest computer upgrades came about by my error in buying a motherboard that didn't support 747 processors (The A8v Deluxe), so i went out and bought a new processor, graphics, and everything elsee...heh, and now i need a new mobo again What else am i going to need to upgrade? I hope nothing...my DDR400 PC3200 Ram should work fine on my newest mobo...i hope...

damn, had a look at that LanParty mobo, looks real nice. Shame i bought another one already :/

Got an Asus A8N-SLi nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard

Make sure your Power Supply is up to the task, pay attention to the amps being supplied to the +12 volt line, more the better (dual rail's is good too).
