Default Recording Video

forgive me if this has been posted before as I was not able to find it.

My question is, is there any free software that I can download from a website like cnet.com, that will allow me to record what my screen is showing while I play the game?

Thank you all, and I hope to see you in Guild Wars tommorow!

Fraps, for shareware?, Screenmaster, for freeware, and GameCam, which may or may not work with GW.

What do people use to add all those effect to movies (like adding words and effects to the different scenes, and adding music)

Windows Movie Maker is a basic program you can use to add text, scene cut effects, music, etc. I think it's available for download on Microsoft's website. No promises on how ZOMG UBER GREAT a program it is, but I find it does the trick well enough for me *shrug* ^_^

I wanted to make a video of myself farming Griffons with my monk before the "balance". I used the limited fraps version but it's short with no sound.

I might try screenmaster in future.

Microsoft Movie Maker comes with the Service Pack 2.
About fraps, since you install the version from site, you will not be able to install the cracked version (it doesnt work, i cleaned all the entrys in reg, without success)
