Due to the age of your system i think the hard disk may be 137gb max. Old motherboards/operating systems do have problems with reading the harddrives over this size.

And no. Not all hard drives are the same. there are kind of 3 lines of different harddisks. ATA (PATA), SATA & SCSI.

Due to the age of your system i think you have ATA or PATA. they are they same

I am installing windows on the new hard drive right now, I think that was the problem, the hdd. Only thing now, is htat when I was doin all the auto setup crap, it made all the space on the hard drive one partition.

For everyone who helped me out on this, I would like to say thanks! I had a lot of questions, and a few people kept on coming to this topic, and helping me out. The problem was indeed the hard drive. I bought a new one, and installed it. Everything is working fine now, and for the other topic I had about getting a new computer, everyone can disregard that now because I have fixed this one.
