for sometime now ive been having a weird crash, basically the game is still running i see it up on my screen but its frozen, i still hear the music and my guildies can talk to me and i can talk back on vent. But perhaps more importantly when it does this "crash" i can see my windows cursor and its changes as i hover about, Suggesting to me ive gone to desktop somehow but with guild wars still up. I know its not because ive pressed anything cause it did this once without me touching the keyboard.

Alt+Tab doesnt restore guild wars
Windows Button doesnt bring desktop fully up
Ctrl+Alt+Delete seems to bring the processes list up tho i cant see it (i see the cursor change when i do it)
Pressing Office Shortcut key on Keyboard does bring anything up
- for now the only thing i can do is reboot.

i cant recall any programs running in background except mcaffee and perhaps windows update, what could be wrong?

3200+ AMD
512MB RAM
ABIT NF7 Motherboard
Powercolor 9800 Pro

hmm is sounds like GW loses main focus (as a program) and then doesn't restore back program...

I would first try to uninstall GW and reinstall it.
Re-install from the cd, or if you use the web only client, let it download everything again and you need the files.

This will rule out corrupted game files.
