Not that great of a card. I gave mine away. For you I would suggest a Nvidia 6600GT.

Depends where you get them at. Do a Google search on price. I like to use XPbargins.com They should be well under $200.00

I would upgrade your memory 1st, 256 mb min perfer to have 1 gb.

A newer video card is not going to be the best bang for your buck for a performance increase.

Once you get to at least 256 mb ram, then you may want to consider a newer video card.

I do apolgize, I thought you were running the pc on 64mb of ram due to this post. I would go with an Nvidia 6600 personally. You do want to upgrade your video card, it's the slowest thing holding you back in your system.

I like http://www.newegg.com/ (and have bought from them in the past without any issues. They should be around $90-180 and have both AGP and PCI Express versions of them. PCI Express will be a little bit cheaper, but you motherboard will be AGP or PCI Express.

NO

the 6600 used 256mb of standard DDR ram and the 6600GT uses 128 MB og GDDR3 special graphics ram clockes at an effective 1000MHZ.

all review sites run screaming dont get the crippled 6600 card.

one typical comment is *yes it has 256 MB of ram but this card has convinced me that quality over quantity rules here*

go to here
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...s&InnerCata=48

and look things over as you can sort them by price/rateinf/etc

the sis onboard graphics chip is not supported by GW and is very sub par

here is an exaplle of a name brand 6600GT at about the same cost as the plain 6600

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814133137

make sure you do not get a PCI EXPRESS card because you dont have a slot for it.

check to make SURE you have an AGP slot on your motherboard and check with the MAKER of your pc to CONFIRM you can upgrade.

also your power supply should be a minimum of 300 watts to even consider a major video card upgrade

i have HIS Ice-Q radeon 9800 Pro .... if your UK based you can get this for £100

$50 i think

Anyway its a 128mb card, but the core clock speed makes it better than many 256mb cards (in the same price bracket)

I have zero lag with this card... cant remember where i have the graphic settings though.
