Default ATI Radeon 9550 Connect 3D

I presently am using an Nvidia MX 440 and have been freezing on occasion in inventory, when completing a mission or when loading GvG. I am thinking of going to an ATI Radeon 9550 Connect 3D with a 250 mh processor. I couldn't find anything about this particular card in the forums. I was wondering if anyone is using this card and having any problems with it.

my lil bor has Asus Radeon 9550 128MB Gamer Edition and Guild Wars ran at 1024x768 at high settings with no prob. go for asus, really good one. Or u could get something better like geforce 6600 or radeon 9600xt, will work muh better, but costs some coins more

9550 is just fine for GW. I have one in my backup computer. It can run on high settings at 1024x768.

I decided to OC it one day with my dry ice setup and I got it to 600/523

Then it ran it on 1600x1200 on medium settings with 55 FPS

Try to get a plain Geforce 6600 instead. It will be a lot faster. If you can stretch to $200, get a Radeon X800GTO.

Use it, works great, better than my other one at least. Go for it.

The x800GT is a horrible upgrade, the 6600GT matches or beats it in a lot of cases, and is less expensive.

I am afraid the Radeon 9550 is all I can afford right now but so far you guys that have one seem to think it will work well.

I use a radeon 9550, and I can run GW at all max settings perfectly. It also looks just as nice as my roomate running it on a top of the line card. I'm pretty sure 9550 is the best sort of card that GW can take full advantage of, though my card will have problems with up and coming titles.

Yes it is a great card because GW doesn't use pixel shaders as much as other games. If it did, we would suffer
