Default Really Bad GFX Problem, please Help.

Hi I have a ATI 9800 Pro 128mb Graphics card.
After i installed the 5.10 driver this started to happen.
Now i tried uninstalling the 5.10 and installing the 5.9, no change, then i noticed this happening on my other games CS:S, but not this, it was like a mad warping incident, and on BF2 its really bad aswell, huge tower blocks will appear infront of me, like where the textures have stretched themselves, alos its happened on COD once or twice.

I havent got my PC overclocked, i have 768mb of ram and AMD 64 Pro.
I really havent got a clue what to do now.

I know it's not supposed to be the way it should look but o.O very lovely indeed. Looks like some futuristic setting.

Jokes aside. Have you tried using driver cleaner to get rid of all traces of the driver before reinstalling?

Those catalyst drivers are bugged, because 10 of my friends have had the same issue. Thank god for my 7800GT! ^.^

Try 5.7 Omega Drivers, or 5.10 Omega Drivers, turn VSync off, and try again.

I completely removed all drivers and reinstalled 5.9, there was no improvement, and i wont use the omega drivers, there way unstable, i should know from my last encounter, and i always keep v sync on, but its ok now, ive sorted the problem out, my GFX card kept over heating due to the amount of dust in me pc, so i cleaned it and now its ok. Thnx for the replies tho.

Ok well everyone is entitled to their opinion, but Omega drivers boost FPS in several games, so I figured GW was no different.

Make sure to turn VSync off though.

Well I'm running GW on 5.10 CCC with no issues at all. So can't be the drivers.

Yeah, those problems aren't the drivers. Crazy looking stuff like that or infinite polygons is usually the result of overheating on the GPU. Keep your case clean and don't push the overclock, Guild Wars doesn't need it. I underclock my X800 to 250MHz and it runs smooth. Now FEAR and Quake4, certainly push the overclock for those.

Sadly it looks like you 9800 is dying, mine did that before it went skywards.

Also i'm using the cat 5.10s and have no problems with my x800xl, so theres nothing wrong with the new drivers.

You could try getting a new cooler for your 9800, an Arctic cooler works wonders, and are quite easy to replace.

Sounds like someone's "problem" is a graphics card on LSD... which, aside from LSD itself, is one of the coolest things ever.
