Default Mic Problem

I recently replaced my motherboard, and now my Microphone isn't working quite right. When I'm in Windows, others can hear me (or that annoying pinging sound, rather), but when I'm in Guild Wars, nobody can hear me. Does anyone know of a setting or thing that I might have to change?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Do you have it plugged into the sound card(Or motherboard sound card jack)...or...the mic jack on the front of the case?

BTW: On a side note...come join us sometime online in the game. I know you are not into joining a guild...however, our guild would be glad to have you along on a mission/quest/HoH/whatever. Arturo02 and Pie are members of our guild. I think you might have a good time with a good group of mature players.

I have it plugged in to the Motherboard. It works when I'm out in windows, but doesn't work when I am playing Guild Wars (which kind of defeats the purpose of having the mic )

I am almost positive it's a problem with some settings, but I'm not quite sure which settings are the problem.

So are you saying with Teamspeak it does not work? Ventrillo? If is is in Teamspeak...it has to be with Teamspeak's settings. I know I had some issues at first. Well for one, I had the mic muted...and forgot...wondered why it wasn't working. DOH! Did you try the Test in TS?

Basic questions I know....

I am also having a microphone problem. I have my mic plugged into my sound card, on the back of my tower. When I go into Teamspeak, my micriphone doesn't work, nobody can hear me. My mic used to work fine in TS, and I havn't re-installed or changed any settings. I think my mic still works, because with other programs it is fine. When I run the test, my mic works fine, just not in TS, and it isn't muted. I get the green light next to my name to light up, but nobody can hear anything.

MSI Motherboard
Altec Headset (?)

I'm using it with vent. When I have windows in the foreground, people can hear me. But when GW is in the foreground, nobody can hear me.

Do you have a sound card or is it on the MB?

If you have a sep. sound card then the mic would need to be plugged in there. If not then the MB connection should work. I would check your sound panel recording options and make sure that the mic isn't muted as well. PM with more if you want more help.
