I've watched many a guildwars video and in all of them, the person who is making the video has their cape emblem shiny/golden. My cape emblem however just looks normal, not golden or shiny at all

. Is it just a video-card thing or something else?

what card do you have as the effects are done with direct x 8.x/9 shader effects.

it the card is a GF mx or GF2 it supports direct x 7 which will not show.

do you see the glow on the bosses?

Forgot to post about the bosses aswell, no I don't see the colors that I should see around bosses, that I know I should. I have a GeForce 4 Mx420 graphics card, at least that's what it says, I'm not a big computer person.

I think that the GeForce 4s don't use DX9 or the new shaders.

Is there anyway I could possibly download these things, or would I have to buy a new card? I got a lot of money to spend and want to get the most out of this.

Buy a new card, the MX's can't/don't support it. I am assuming you are on agp, so I would suggest this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ubmit=Property
I am running the Chaintech version and it runs GW at 1280x1024 max details and 4xAA.
