Default Will this work?

I'm getting Guild Wars for Christmas so I wanted to know ahead of time how this would run for me.

PC Spec.
========

Microsoft Windows Home Edition
Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.50 GHz
632 DDR Ram
NVIDIA GeForce 5500 (BFG GeForce FX 5500 OC 256mb) - PCI

Net Spec.
========
T1 Internet (I'm sure this would run fine)

----------------

I bought a friend Guild Wars for Christmas as well, will it run good for him at all?

PC Spec.
========

Microsoft Windows Home Edition
Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.45 GHz
256 DDR Ram
NVIDIA GeForce 5500 (GeForce FX 5500 256mb) - PCI

Net Spec.
========
High Speed Cable Internet (I'm sure this would run fine)

-------

Normally I would not ask this question it's just, when they put the recommended requirments it can still run choppy reqaurdless if you meet them or not.

Yes they will run.

The comp I'm using is a Intel Celeron CPU 2.5 GHz with a Geforce FX4000 and Guildwars still runs.

Granted you prolly won't get the best graphics but it will run. This comp also has 760 RAM and mostly that is enough to get it working without GW shuting down due to lack of memory.

I don't know about other games though... But I just built a new comp that pretty much makes this old one a trash can. (Not using it yet because I don't have the OS. It's getting shipped here now. =P)

Nevertheless I'm sure it will run at least.

Thanks! I know for a fact my Video Card is the best you can get for PCI, it's just my buddy has the basic thing.

I hope my 632 DDR does well, I'm mainly worried that it will barley run for my friend who has 256 DDR.

If it doesn't run for you friend then have him try increasing his paging file...but before he does, have him defrag his hard drive.

Sure thing! I would hate to see the look on his face to get Guild Wars for Christmas and not have it work. When I go to install mine at Christmas I'm reformatting my C:\ drive and doing a clean install of XP. (Don't know if I got some bad stuff in there.)

Since X-Mas is just a few days away and I can play GW on my own PC for once I wanted to re-ask something.

I know people have slow problems with 256 ddr ram, and other people would suggest to get 1gb. Now I'm short on Cash from X-Mas and all and I only have a 632 DDR Ram on my PC with a 512 ddr and a 120 drr and I know it's not 1gb, but will it be a slow free game for me? and not lag down to the pooper. I already no some people run it good, however I'm still using a Cel. 2.5 GHz.
