Directsong Errors
I have downloaded from Directsong the Special edition Music pack and the Sorrows Furnace music pack. However, windows media player, Quick time play and Nero all fail to open the Audio Files. Media player says it has a problem getting the Licenses or something. Has anyone else had this problem and How do you fix it?

yea, I downloaded the SF sound pack and every time I try to open it in windows media player I have to upgrade something. I'm just too lazy to do that. Also, i've never got it to play anywhere in the game. Every time I look at the options screen it says 'err. playing directsong". I don't really care about it that much. It was free anyways.

Make sure you have the latest version of Windows Media Player. I don't get any errors or weird things with the latest one, default settings.

My virus scanner doesn't like windows media player getting licenses

If you can play them in WMP, everything should be fine for guild wars.
It sounds like the DRM license of the files are not correct (reason why you can't play them). |
