Hah it was really simple actually. My sister was logged onto the computer aswell and she had some programs running. I just simply had to log her off and it is all better. Im stupid, should have thought of that first.

Ah, that makes sense. If you didn't check the "show processes from all users" box at the bottom of the process list you wouldn't have seen anything but processes from your user, SYSTEM, the various SERVICE users, etc.

Food for thought, anyway. I wouldn't have immediately suggested checking that box. I'm glad you figured it out. On a side note, the old helpdesk mantra would have saved you some frustration: "When in doubt, reboot! Reboot! Reboot!"

Then again, if you're like me you want to know what's going on for the sake of knowing...

Mwahahah. So true. And this works on suprisingly many things. The computer itself, the monitor, printers attached to it, I've even fixed a car by 'rebooting' it

Yes, that used to be my first thought. But then one time my computer was going really slow so I rebooted and my computer wouldnt let windows start for "my protection". That was the only time I actually had to go see an IT guy. From then on, when I have a problem I try to fix it first.

Oh yeah and on a side note: I like to fix things, not take the easiest way out

If my computer is going slow, ill do all that I can before I do the easiest thing.

This is why I disable the Switch Users option in XP. Makes life a whole lot easier on the head.
