Default I hate you Nero/Yahoo!!!!!!!

Earlier today I downloaded an update my Nero cd burning software, because my emachines updater agent told me to. For some reason it also installed what I thought was the yahoo toolbar on there. Just now I ran a spyware scan and it said that i had some sort of a "viewpoint toolbar" installed, which it classified as spyware. I googled it and it said that it used the yahoo search engine. MS antispy removed what apparently was the "spyware" part, but now the toolbar is still there. It doesn't seem to be in the add/remove programs list. There was a "viewpoint media player" in there which I uninstalled, but that didnt seem to do the trick. Any suggestions?

Id suggest that you do a web search for "the programs name"(if you remember it)",removing", and see what that turns up. Also, where did you D/L the update? Was it from Neros homepage, or a "driver download"page(one that has many different drivers available)? Always get updates from the official homepage if at all possible, even if you need to use a different computer than the one youre updating. Another thing, dont download an update unless you need too(having some problem with hard/software), and check to see what the update is supposed to fix first! An update is no good if it wont fix the problem youre having.

Eh, they bundled the Yahoo toolbar with Nero now too? *sigh*

Already got annoyed at teh extra 'No!' clicking when installing Adobe Acrobat since that too wants to install the Yahoo Toolbar.

Annoying. Very annoying.

When you get the download links, they give you a choice between with yahoo and push you to it, and one w/o yahoo. Make sure you uncheck Yahoo toolbar option.
