Default Marhan's Grotto constant downloading?

I'm sitting in Marhan's Grotto right now and my system is must going nuts! CPU is nearly always 100% gw.exe (maybe that's normal?) but the HDD is grinding away and at the top of the screen beside the minimize-maximize-close buttons the connection icon sits counting up MBs.

Anyone else seen anything like that before?

Never had that happen before, However ever since the pvp weekend I get small files downloaded every time I switch towns or even districts for that matter. So maybe anet is trying to secretly put in new content that can easily be activated for an event.

I've seen the MB counter. I'm pretty sure that's your transfer rate.

Transfer rate should remain somewhat constant. However, this one was counting up and up and up... it reached 40MB at one point. I can safely say my internet connection cannot sustain such a transfer rate.

I should probably also have mentioned that this is unique to Marhan's Grotto. If I map anywhere else, it calms back down to a nice peaceful running. The thought had crossed my mind that it was programmed at that one location to download content to be activiated in the future, and thus I even let it sit there a while.

It's not a big concern of mine seeing as it is unique to that one location. I just thought I'd see if something similar had occurred for someone else, somewhere.

100% CPU usage is perfectly normal for games, they eat all resources they can get (to draw the graphics as fast as it can, and after a certain point, to slow down by running empty loop so the game doesn't go too fast.. Depends a bit on game.)

I see the little lightning every now and then, especially on my work comp, the client has been downloaded from the GW site, so all 1.5GB has to be downloaded.. So suppose you are missing a file or two which GW is catching up.

It could have been some texture corruption for Morhans Grotto - and its loading the textures from GW.dat, into a temporary file, to load them back and sort it out.... Since its transferring Hard drive to Hard drive, it could ready 40MB/s

Just an idea..
