Yea...but there's not too many laptops for less than 2000 without integrated graphics. HPs are nice, i havent heard any complaints about them.

Since it is integrated video I would max out the ram to 2Gb.
Thanks for the review but I was looking for something that's exactly not a hardcore gaming system. I mean, besides gaming, I would be doing mulitmedia tasks such as burning video DVD and watching movies/anime. So unless I can find a better deal in the next 2 days or so, I'm goin' for it!

edit: I'm not that hot on the software either, but I'm covered in that aspect. 607 /\/\_v dr147? ^_^

edit2: Old Dood, do you know (or would be able to find out) if it has any extra slots for RAM?

I dunno, I was wondering that too actually. I got mine promptly in excellent time, but my friend's took an extra week longer than what they said to get to him.

On your ram slots...I believe the details stated 2 ram slots. That is the usual with laptops. Also the stock system has both filled with 2x512Mb sticks so they would be full. You would need to get 2x1Gb sticks to max out the ram on that system. I do not know if BestBuy will do that....swap out for you I mean. You would have to ask them.

I have a Inspiron GEN 1 and GW runs awesome on this system. Great thing with getting the Dell was I didnt have to shell out the $3500 CAD all at once. I did the finance and just pay so much a month.

Specs:

Intel Pentium 4 3.4GHz w/ HT
512MB DDR400
ATI Mobility 9700 128MB
60GB 5400 RPM HDD

Game couldn't run much better.

Ya and a mobility 9700 is a 9600 on steroids basically. Identical architecture but clocked at like 450Mhz instead of ~350MHz. GW is really a very efficient game. It looks good and runs well, unlike some other games on the market these days. EQ2 for example lol.

Any machine with a Radeon 9550 or GeForce 6200 on up will run the game pretty darn well. 512MB RAM would service GW quite well to honestly. The game usually uses only 200MB of RAM or so.

Don't buy anything with a GeForce 5xxx in it.
