Since the February 28th update, I can no longer make a new character. This applies to both RP and PvP characters.

Now try explaining a little bit more than you can no longer make one...You know 4 characters is the max still...right?

Do you mean you just can't click Create..? Or what?

I pressed the submit post button by mistake before I'd finished composing the first post, after that the forum just sort of shut down for me. Here is the rest of it: I have one free slot which I reserve for my PvP characters. When I attempt to create a new character I get as far as the screen where you chose to make an RP character or PvP character.

Selecting either one of the options and pressing "Next" causes the game to crash me to the desktop with no warning. I'm still able to play with my current characters though. I'm hoping someone else has this problem (i.e the problem is on ANet's side) because I really dont want to reinstall the game.

Try un-installing the game and re-installing, or try the Client.

Agreed. Sounds like the latest patch didn't install properly.
