ok, i have just bought the game and like it a lot.

I have been a few freezes during the game, so have read the forums and aand installed the 71.89_win2kxp_english driver set for my card (leadtek gforce4 Ti4200 64mb)

The odd freeze i could live with, but the main problem is that every time my player goes to the acadamy, and the intro starts, the game freezes.
If i reboot and try to go back into the same player, it crashes and gives the following message :

If i create a new player, it lets me play that, but again, if i attempt to go to the acadamy, i get the same thing again.

I player CS without a problem, and i have tried so many drivers its starting to send me nuts.

Have anyone got any good ideas.

(should i get a new card?, 6600GT 256mb ?)

Try re-installing the Game, doesn't seem to be a memory error.

Before re-installing the game (I do agree w/ Josh and being a corrupted file and you most likely have to re-install)

Try updating your video card drivers to this version - http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_81.98.html
(not the most current one, it's not MS WHQL for the geforce 4)

Maybe its a driver conflict?? If hes installed Drivers, over drivers, and this and that trying to get something to work, maybe he's caused a software/driver issue somewhere along the lines....

Thanks for thr quick replies.

Altho' i have tried many drivers, i have always removed the previous ones first, By add/remove program in control panel. I have not tried these drivers tho', so i shall, remove the old ones, install these, and re-install the games.

Ok
uninstalled drivers,
installed the drivers,
re-installed the game.

Managed to get passed the acadamy, but it still randomley freezes, or boots me.

But i think i have a solution

change the motherboard
fit new chip and cooler
fit 2 gb ram
fit 6800gs
fit 550w psu

infact changes everything except the game.
