Default Gw running slow since march 23 update

I have a Athlon XP 3200+ and GF6800 Ultra in my computer, and I used to have everything turned all the way up and was always getting over 50 fps. Now since the update gw is running at 3-7 fps, and that's after I ran the auto-config for graphics, which turned my settings down a bit.

DX9 without any new features is supposed to run faster than DX8, not slower.

Same thing happened to me. I have a 6600 GT and before the update I could run everything near max with 60 fps. My average is now about 9

Weird, when I maximized the client after writing op, the game was running over 40. Still not good, but acceptable for now.

I hope it doesnt do this every time I log in, or this is gonna suck.

Fix this quick please anet!

EDIT:
Looks like I spoke too soon.. still running horrible, and even turning the graphics all the way down doesn't do anything. I already checked for other processes hogging cpu and it isn't the case.

It isn't your comps. There are a ton of calls being made to their servers to download the new update. This is going to slow the game down quite abit. I just hope when Factions comes out they intend to have dedicated servers to it not share with the current ones.

yeah I have a [email protected] speeds and Athlon 64 3200+, pretty similar setup to yours and no problems whatsoever. It's prob just something going on with the servers atm.

2 words, "nVidia Suck" :P

Im on ATI Radeon x1600 AGP - and it incresed my frame rate (Doubled it almost) on the update...

Guild Wars is designed to work better on ATI (Just look at the logo's at the bottom of the GW site for one thing)

40 fps - I wouldnt complain about to be honest you said "still not good" - most people would be happy with 40fps, jesus...

All I did was restart my computer and it started working fine again.. I don't know if it was because I had a norton update waiting to be installed or what, but now I'm back to everything turned all the way up and getting around 50 fps.

That is totally bogus, dont listen to this...guild wars was not designed to "look better" on ati cards, if that was done purposefully it would be illegal.

Also nvidia dont suck, infact at the moment theyre walking allover ATI, seen as tho none of the ati cards even touch nvidias top cards. ATI should get their fingers out their arses.
