Default Quick Blinking problem

Hey everyone, i have a problem.
Whenever i exit out of GW, or window into GW, my screen flashes once really quick, then everything is normal. Id like to know if i can make the blinking stop. The blinks are maybe .2 of a second long but you can still see them.

Ive just upgraded my PC with some new parts, so the hardware shouldnt be a problem.Specs:
(new)AMD 64 3200
(new)Geforce 6800XT 256 PCI-E
(new)2x 1gb RAM
(new) 160 gb sata western digital HDD
800W Power Supply.
(new)ASUS 939 socket MOBO
Regular CD drive
Regular DVD drive
(i just installed windows so everything is fresh.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you running your desktop and GW at the same screen resolutions?

If you aren't, what you are seeing is the video card switching from one res to the other. ALL video cards do this when switching resolutions.

If you don't like it, ensure both resolutions are set the same.
