Default Uhoh!!!!

i just dropped a cdrom/cd burning 52x drive, on the front plate, do you hink it will still work? i dont want to plug it in and have it fry, it was from a 3-4foot range onto a tiled floor. i would have already checked to see if it was good, but i dont want it to go nuts inside the case, i just need some opinions, Is it still good/bad, and should i or shouldnt i plug it in?

Is it of a decent quality brand? If nothing popped off or visibly broke, I'd go ahead and try it out. If you have a secondary box that you don't use that much, you could always test it on that, provided you didn't want to risk using your main one for whatever reason. I guess just see if it can read and write a CD... the most probable thing I could think of that would go wrong is for the laser to have lost focus or been bumped out of alignment.
