Default New Catalyst drivers causing problems?

I've a Radeon X800 Pro (bios changed slightly to enable full 16 pipes instead of the default 12) - it is not overclocked and no other changes/mods.

I tried the Catalyst 6.2 drivers and also the latest Omega drivers (based off Catalyst 6.3).

Now I'm getting noticeable graphical errors in Guild Wars!

This is in presearing, on the road towards the Barradin Estate:

Facing down the road:

Facing back up the road

Notice what happened to the tree trunks? They look very light and pale when facing down the road, but as I move down and turn around, they look normal. It seems to be related to the lighting a bit.

I tried putting all the settings on lowest, turning them on/off but nothing seemed to make any difference.

I also had a go at Hell's Precipice the other day and the lava in places looked almost blue/thought it was water.

Tried Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and the graphics in that seem fine, so it seems to be GW related.

Help??

Yeah same with me only with Victo's Axe skin and Fire Imps in certain places/zones on the map. Like out side of LA, TOA, Hot Springs, Beetletun, and Gates of Kryta.

Or this maybe caused by the map updates not sure yet.

I've been getting some glitches with them too... What was wrong with the old drivers that they had to update them in the first place???

Usually things like improved performance/tweaks, improved compatibility for newer cards and games, new features and so on; that's why drivers get updated.

Oh well looks like the newer Catalyst drivers have some issues, back to the old one for me for now
