My only advice would be to check out your internet connection+restart your computer etc. Basic things, how are you trying to install GW? Discs or Client off www.guildwars.com

Talking to A-Net would be a good decision here

^ Rofl.

Try going into C:\Program Files\ and seeing if there's a "Guild Wars" directory, if there is, delete it.

Then, download the GW Client, from;
http://www.guildwars.com/downloads/gwsetup.zip

Run it and see, if it doesn't work, please post the rest of your system specs. Hard-Drive available? RAM, Processor, etc.

He's already said in a different post he's tried. Also, Deleting GW like that is plain stupid. Registry integrated files cannot be removed like that. Deleting the folder deletes the Uninstall, thus registry keys won't be uninstalled, so you will not run a clean install. If you want to try that, go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall from there, then after that go back to www.guildwars.com and reinstall. Also, try installing different programs and see if they work

Have you got a Firewall up? Disable it as it might be blocking the ports GW uses.

Yeah...try the client of the GW website but also disable/close any firewalls and also check that your router allows TCP port 6112 and TCP port 80.

Here are some obvious suggestions but they tend to be the best:

* Run windows update and get all the updates (excluding driver updates unless its for your CPU or Ethernet card)
* Make sure you have the latest DirectX installed. (Now this may seem obvious but many dont realise its updated monthly now by MS. And while this shouldnt be to much of an issue, keeping up cant hurt.)
* Make sure you have the latest nvidia drivers installed from nVidia NOT Windows Update.
* Same with your motherboard.
* Disable protection in your firewall which limits one app loading another, this tends to kill most MMOs.
* Spyware check, and virus check. Make sure when doing a spyware check you always use 2+ applications for it, and use a good quality virus checker, none of this norton junk. Get yourself Avast or AVG.
* Once thats done try it out and see, if it doesnt work from the dl link provided in a earlier post install it till it get to the dling part, then find a friend or someone with GW and get a copy of their GW.dat file and dump it into place where they had it. (Dont worry this fine, GW members do this all the time esepcialy for people with update or install issues and of course, 56kers in the guild).

If that doesnt work either.... your machine may need a reinstall. GW support will help with all ive suggested and little else, they're nothing more than basic misc tech support, they know little of the app itself (which is distrubing).

Oh well, try and see.
