They fixed / updated the new 3D sound engine. This is causing some users lag in game that they did not have before or FX sounds missing / gone. This has been showing up in many threads recently.

The updated DirectX 9c (April 2006) which has newer files (including DS3D) seems to be a fix for a lot of users.

when i download and run this, i get an box asking me where i want to extract the files too, i done it to my desktop and all i get are tonnes of rar files.

yeah i ran that, and it installed in 5 seconds flat, and im still lagging like hell.

Some people are having trouble with a newer audio engine using more pc resources and the newer direct X seems to make DS3D run better from posts of the forums.
