Exclamation A new Crash Problem

I have read over the forums here, and the other crash problems, I have taken the steps suggested in the other threads, I even did a complete reformat of my comp and then a completely new install of GW. I have a store baught disc set, and tried cleaning it even though it didnt look as if it needed it it..

I have never had any problems before this is a recent thing so I'm pretty sure that its not my hardware. If there are any suggestions out there that may help please, I am tired of my game giveing me these errors that I get to send to ArenaNet about 3 times a day.

Here is my report

do you get the same crash every time? is it whenever you enter a specific map? does this happen after loading a map or while playing? with no info other than 'the game crashes' it's hard to offer any suggestions on what to try.

Smile I think I have it

after adding a new processor cooling unit and 2 more fans, and uping my powersupply I think I may have finally fixed the problem, I was running a 1.4 process, but then beefed it up to a 2.8 might have hade something to do with it. I have now played a few games in GW some intense ones like tombs or fow, I am still yet to get booted...So hopefully I fixed what ever it was.

Angry So Im not perfect

my comp is really being a butt head, here is my newest error report, I havent had time to check and see if it is the same as the last one.

I am getting this during game play, I can be in the middle of a battle and GW just shuts down, when my desktop is visible again a get a send error report to Arena Net. I have been sending them and asking for a reply on what they are so I may be able to fix the problem, but no luck yet, so any help from you guys would be much appreciated.

Did u ever resolve this problem?

Guildwars randomly crashes on me with the well known message box "a serious error has occurred, please contact Anet" (or similair message).

I have been debugging the problem for some time now.

I already swapped the motherboard for a different brand and type, swapped graphics card, bought a new power supply (450W), tested harddisks, tested RAM (Corsair twinx 2048 MB 3200C2) over and over with no solution. I ran memtest86+ for hours and hours without any errors.

GW crashes at least about every hour with the "serious error has occurred, please send a report to Anet". The system is not overclocked and completely stable in 2d.

I am using latest drivers, bios, defragged the harddisk, increased virtual memory size to 2048-4096.

Also checked overheating: graphics card / processor etc are not getting too hot.

The graphics card is an Asus EN7800GT. Processor is an AMD 3800+ X2.

Hmm..i used to have an Asus card that was very unstable.

Are you using Asus drivers or Nvidia drivers?

Btw your Directx report shows that you have a Fx5200, yet you say you have an asus 7800?

Are you using Asus drivers or Nvidia drivers?

Btw your Directx report shows that you have a Fx5200, yet you say you have an asus 7800?
I am using the standard, latest version Nvidia drivers.I have an EN7800GT but am not the same person as the one in the topicstart.

Some research pointed me in the direction of the dual core processor. Does everyone with this error have a dual core processor? According to one post I found a warkaround might be available by runnen GW on core 0 only. Core 0 +1 or core 1 only would give problems.

Obstegox - Try downloading & running memtest86+ and see if you get any errors. Sounds like it might be your RAM. Could you also post the info from your dxdiag report? That will help more too.

Pupu - my game was doing all sorts of weird graphics stuff since the Dx9 update in GW (well, it was fine after GW's update, but not after I installed Dx9.0c two weeks ago) and after I installed the April DirectX9.0c package, plus the new Catalyst 6.4 driver yesterday, the problem has gone away. I see you have an NVidia card, and they have a new driver out today, so hopefully that will fix up your GW

The AMD XP2400+ is not a dual-core processor, I have that one too

For your guys's sake, I hope there is no dual-core problem with GW. Doesn't sound fun...
