Default Overheating guide...FYI

overheating.....no one likes it, but u have to do something to prevent it.

Small case could be ur problem. Try to get bigger case, its not just the looks, colors...its also the inside size, airflow, number of fans, etc
Also it is a good habit to organize the cables inside the case using cable holders whenever possible. Mess of cables will restrict ur airflow. try to think how u gonna lay cables before u start building ur rig.

DUST...is number 1 killer of PC hardware...
vacuum or use airduster once a month or whatever u think is best (depending where computer sits)
if u think its overheating, take the cover off and while ur computer is on, check all the fans (CPU, video, PSU) see if u notice any sporadic movements of the fan. if u do see it, change that fan ASAP, try not to use ur computer before u change it.
Also, check the heatsink...by that I mean check if it firmly attached. look at the lever that will lock CPU heatsink in place...if u were moving ur computer or by accident u moved the lever... air bubbles between CPU and heatsink prevent normal cooling of ur CPU.
if u overclock, and it overheats dont do it

in general, all u need is 2-3 fans in ur case
front bottom: blows air in(cold)
top back: blows air out(hot)
side panel: blows air in(cold) to help cool down CPU by providing cool air to ur CPU fan

when installing CPU...RTFM (read the fookin manual)...u dont wanna burn $300-500 in a matter of seconds

hope it helps some of ya.
Plz add ur own comments if I missed something......
