I created my character the day before GW: Prophecies came out, during the head start event. When I go on him and press /age, it says you have played for 567 hours over the past 10 months. This implies that I have had him for 10 months, even though I have had him for longer...

still no pet...

it really isn't a problem lol

all that this /age is staying is the CHARACTER'S age

for example if i pre-ordered the original GW and used on the eve of its release to public, than my ACCOUNT is X months old, however, if you created a character on that first day and then deleted it two months into the process and created new character than THAT character's age is DIFFERENT from your account's age which would explain you not yet recieving a pet for you only recieve a pet when your CHARACTER is 1 year old

That was a very clear post, but I already knew that. Problem is, this is the character that I have had since the day before it came out. This is the first character I made, and I made it the day before GW was released.

Now, the /age function should tell you 2 sets of info, the age of your character, and the age of your account. If you did make that character back then, and its telling you the age of the character is only 10 months, then something's wrong there, but I don't know as if Anet would be willing to do anything about it. My account is 10 months old, and I know it had been out a while before I got it.

I did hear that after the initial release they had to reset a few things, so that is why some ages may be screwed up.

That would explain it then, and I am pissed about it, lol. If I had had my animal on time, I would have made 300k, not I make a measly 100k
