My computer is:
1.8Ghz [email protected] (dont answear if u dont know what this is)
2x512mb ddr400
120gt 8mb/7200rpm/s-ata
7800GT

My comp works perfectly, 16 500 points form 3dmark03, 8200 from 3dmark 05

But in GW i get 3 kinds of freezings:
Type 1: Screen freezes and i drop from game. But i can shut gw down using ctrl+alt+del or alt+f4. Very rare.
Type 2: Screen freezes but i dont drop from game, i can talk on vent and play using keyboard, i just dont see anything. But i can't get away from gw, no chance, only restart. Very rare.
Type 3: EVERYTHING freezes. Most frequent, this has ruined my gvg's, cant play anymore, no one will help me on missions becouse i drop everytime...

Intell Inf is newest. nVidia 83.10. I have tryed down/overclocking.... No viruses, no bad sectors....

I have the same problem and I know a few others who have it, too. I can't play like this, they have to do something.

OK, LETS MAKE THIS GLOBAL, SO PLS STICK OR SOMETHING....

This problem is common and i have been handling many problems with specified softwares and/or hardwares. We are having problem which encounters on special harware kinds i think, be couse not everyone has it. Secondary important thins is to specify if the problem is in the game or on the platform which runs it.

So i ask everyone who has these freezing problems to answear these simply questions:

1. When Freezing happens? Any particular place/action which triggers it?
2. Your video card and driver version?
3. Your processor and chipset (called as northbridge also)
4. How long has these problems last?

My own answears:::
1. No, nothing, it is VERY random.
2. My VGA is 7800GT and driver is 83.10
3. Processor is very special Intel Pentium M (Dothan core) heavily overclocked.
4. I have been encountering these freezes for 1-2 months.

UPDATES!!! you could also try not to run tons of background services.
