Unhappy factions shut down

i purchased factions about 2:00 pm friday april 28 I installed it fine but when i wanted to create a pve character for the factions campaign any class once the monestary overlook compresses and when it has 1% to go the whole program shuts down. I have been able to play prophecies ok and i can even bring my characters from tyria to cantha but not create new factions because it closes program if anyone has any idea on what is happening please let me know

I got the same problem. I can play Factions, though. But in many cases the game crashes my whole system when I go from one area to another. Just before the loading screen would come my system hangs.

I never had this Problem playing with my chars in Tyria, only Cantha.
