Get a better video card.

I assume that doesn't happen everytime so how often does it happen.

My video card is pretty sh*tty and minimizing then bringing it back up works for me whenever something gets messed up.

Doesn't look like you allowed the amp to fully load, as your items in inventory haven't fully appeared yet. Does the problem still occur when you let the area load in full? If so then please give your full system specifics.

The shiney layer is the specular details which load in first before the textures, if this happens constantly do :

1. Update gfx drivers, this is a big deal since the DX9 engine for the new GW causes serious issues.
2. Install a gw.dat backup, and if you havent made one (naughty!) get a friends copy.
3. Reinstall...

If you store your gw dat file in a seperate directory(backup), you can delete the gw.dat file which essentially will delete all of your maps/updates downloaded from the server. By doing this you will remove and corrupted files which you may have accumulated due to drops, err=7's power, crashes ect. Furthermore by reducing the size of gw.dat it lightens the load on your processor as it has to look through less info to get to what its looking for, on the down side you will have to download all maps for any areas you visit.
