Well I'm using Optimum Voice, so I really dont think its the provider, I think its more of a server problem, this has happened several times before... no biggie im sure it'll be fixed within the hour... (I hope)

Do any of the people in this thread subscribe to Verizon internet on the east coast, because I called in a ticket and they said there's a "routing" problem that is across 6 states on the east coast (New York, Maryland, Mass. are the ones I remember for sure) that began several hours ago?

Just wondering if there might be a connection? Are most of the other problems you're seeing intermittent? For example, you might connect once to Lion's Arch, but then you'll hang on the load screen to Ascalon City for 2 minutes and get a 005?
nope, i have optimum

Yes, I'm in Canada, too. The problem seems to have cleared up for me. After posting here earlier, I tried a few other characters and couldn't do anything, but then success--one of my rangers managed to start the Riverside Province mission. I thought maybe the problem was fixed, logged off, and tried a couple of characters I'd tried previously, since I really wanted to play in Cantha. They still couldn't do anything. So back to ranger and into Riverside Province, since at least that worked.

Ranger is working on the protector title and wanted the bonus, which takes forever in that mission. When I finished the bonus about an hour later, I tried the characters I'd tried before and they could all enter explorable areas. Hopefully it'll remain that way tomorrow.

I suspect it is/was a server problem, since it seemed to affect instanced areas more than anything else. I would expect a general network problem to affect everything in the game, but then I'm not a networking expert.

started at 6pm est for me as for 10pm they fixed it, i switch all my setting back, b4 the fix. As it happens thankfully they were obviously aware of the problem and fixed it. Good thing we kept logging in and getting stuck or they may have never troubleshot it. LOL.
