Default Question about Satellite Broadband...

Well...I recently got broadband internet by satellite, and now I can't log into Guild Wars or any other game for online play, though I could when I was on my 56k modem. When I double click on the icon, it'll say Connecting to ArenaNet... and stay at 0%. Is there any way to configure this to work? My firewalls are turned off already.

Do you have XP? If so, is the built in firewall disabled? Or maybe it's a router issue, do you have to open any specific ports for Guild Wars to run?

If I'm way off please forgive my rambling, but I don't have much experience with configuring routers and networking things! Just a few possible ideas.

well...I doubt it's the latency at this point. I mean, I can't even log in, so how could I tell, right? And it doesn't work on my desktop...but works on my mom's laptop...
