Default Massive Error 7's

I am just wondering what is up with the Error 7's lately? My guild cannot run an HA run without losing at least one to Error 7 at some point and about 70% of our GvGs are messed up by a guildmate dropping due to Err 7. The people it happens to are random, so it's hard to blame it on anyone's connection. In fact, most of us, if not all, run DSL, Cable, or better.

I am hoping that Anet decides to work on this soon, because it is difficult for your guild to find its weaknesses and strengths in builds if you just Error 7 all the time. :-(

I think it actually is the connection. In most MMOs that I've played, disconnections happen just as often as in GW, it's just easier to get back in because you start at the same place in the same group. Also, things like spyware viruses can obviously contribute to the problem. Even random programs on a computer doing an auto-update can trigger a disconnect from GW because of the high bandwidth usage. The worst though, I think, is the strange tendencies from ISPs. My internet goes frequently in and out when there is any sign of a thunderstorm, for example. The strange thing about those outages though was that the connection always seems to be up when I check my connection, and I can still load web pages because the disconnects are such a short time. There are tons of reasons an err=007 could happen, and I think the least of them are caused by ANet. Still, I empathize with your situation, having been in the same one at times, and I do think if there's anything ANet can do, they will do it. Some of the recent maintanence they've been doing may be related.
