You're not alone -_-

Bloody 2-3 consecutive error 7s really messed up my gaming 2 days ago.

The lag spikes also gave me an extra 4 deaths as I stand around only to be killed and ressed by hench, again ang again

Same here never had error/code 007 until the last 2 days. Now IM disconnected every 10-15 minutes. Is this the reason behind server maintenance on Sunday? I hope so. I have had the game over 12 months with no issues or problems. Now the last 2 days everytime im on code 007 every 10-15 minutes. This is sucky. Im on broadband to so this should not be happening. I alled my isp and they said it is an issue with Guild Wars servers and to contact them. Email sent and waiting responce. This is lame.

Getting Err 7 alot now, and Also just major major lag, I don't use a router and it is said err 7 is because of a conflict with the router.

And I just tested my net speed and I am getting just under 3mbs which is plenty for guildwars.

I keep asking my guildies off in new zealand if they are having problems, they are having none at all. And here I am in california with problems out of the anus.

WE NEED A NEW SKILL:

Ward of err7, or a smite skill against people that piss us off: signet of err7

I don't know if this helps anyone but my problems with error 007 seem to have disappeared. I formatted and installed windows98 just to see if it made a differance and it did seems much better and less lag too. Maybe it's a coincidance i dont know but it works for me

I'm one of the people who has never had an error 7 (had Guild Wars since it was released), are you sure it's not your connection? Sorry, from my position I can't relate to it

Chalk me up as yet another err7 user who has never had an issue. I am of the opinion that if everyone who is having this problem were to begin commenting in this thread with basic specs, ANet might pay attention to the issue.

I use Comcast cable, with updated router drivers (and yes, I tried a direct connection) in Portland, OR USA. I mention my location since a few others have and it seems to be West Coast North America so far.

At any rate, it is driving me nuts and I have decided to put off purchasing Factions and might never if this issue remains unresolved. I mean, whats' the point?

Understandable. I know there are no monthly fees and there's the attittude that "hey, no monthly fees, nothing to complain about." A one time price of buying the game. But still, this isn't what we paid for when we bought the game. It's basic consumer practice to hold off until you're confident in a product before buying.

If ya can feasably do it, I reeeallly urge installing win98 i've gone from 10+ error007's a day to none.

I'm saying this coz i know your pain, I'm on dial-up in aus and the game just runs sooo sweet now.

could work for you too

Well, from the time I created this thread, I haven't had any more problems, must have been just that one day. Never had any problems before that day, but it was pretty frustrating.

I can see how Win 98 could change some things if installed, but I no longer have a copy of that OS handy. Plus, I prefer the NTFS files system anyway. Never had any problems before that day with error 7's, or any error for that matter, but it seemed to correct itself over the course of that same day.

I got the error two days in a row. Once whenI was in the Tombs, the other while in "The Deep" kind of odd that it'd be in two of the most elite places in the game.. I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but still odd!
